Explore HIV prevention support and whether PrEP may be right for you.
Protect yourself from HIV with a daily pill and contribute to your healthy life in a smart, simple way by using PrEP (pre-exposure prophylaxis). According to the CDC, if taken daily, PrEP reduces your risk for acquiring HIV by 99%. Once you begin taking PrEP, maximum protection is attained within 7 days for anal sex and within 21 days for vaginal sex.
What are the side effects of PrEP?
The most common side effects are nausea, headache, stomach-area pain, and weight changes — most of which dissipate within about 2 weeks as your body adjusts. About 13% of individuals experience some bone density loss (which returns to prior levels if PrEP is discontinued), about 7% have headaches, and less than 1% experience kidney issues. Tell your provider if any side effects bother you or do not go away.
How much does PrEP cost?
Most insurance plans and state Medicaid programs cover PrEP under preventative care. If you are uninsured or not covered, programs are available: Ready, Set, PrEP provides medication at no cost to those who qualify; Co-Pay Assistance Programs can lower out-of-pocket costs; and some states offer PrEP Assistance Programs. Our team can help you navigate your options.
Does PrEP protect against other STIs?
PrEP does not protect against other STIs. Regular condom use in conjunction with PrEP is highly recommended. Our team can help you with additional strategies to protect your sexual health and wellness.
The Decision Is Yours. PrEP is something you may take for only a limited time while you are most sexually active — protecting you from acquiring HIV, a lifelong infection with serious health implications. Campbell Health Solutions is here to help you make an informed, confident choice.
PEP is time-sensitive. Reach out as soon as possible for guidance.
PEP (post-exposure prophylaxis) is medicine that prevents HIV after a possible exposure. PEP must be started within 72 hours (3 days) after a recent possible exposure to HIV. The sooner you start PEP, the better. Every hour counts.
What should I do if I was exposed at work?
If you think you've been exposed to HIV at work, see a health care provider or emergency room doctor right away. Report your exposure to the appropriate person at your workplace and seek medical attention immediately. PEP must be started within 72 hours — the sooner, the better. Careful practice of standard precautions can help reduce exposure while caring for patients with HIV.
How long do I need to take PEP?
If you're prescribed PEP, you'll need to take it every day for 28 days. It is important not to miss doses. Your provider will follow up with you during and after the course to monitor your health.
Can I use PEP as ongoing HIV prevention?
No. PEP is only for emergency situations after a possible exposure. It is not intended for regular or repeated use. If you are frequently at risk for HIV exposure, talk to your provider about PrEP, which is designed for ongoing prevention.
Do not wait. Every hour matters. If you believe you've been exposed to HIV, contact Campbell Health Solutions or go to an emergency room immediately. Our team is here to help you take the right next step — quickly, confidentially, and without judgment.

Thoughtful wellness support focused on sustainable goals and whole-person care.
Wellness isn't simply about a number on the scale. It's about having the energy, confidence, and support you need to live a healthier life. At Campbell Health Solutions, our Wellness Services take a personalized approach to weight management, metabolic health, nutrition, and overall well-being. We work with you to understand your goals and develop a plan that is safe, realistic, and designed around your individual health needs.
What does a personalized wellness plan include?
There's no one-size-fits-all approach to wellness. Depending on your needs, your plan may combine Medical Weight Management, GLP-1 Therapy, B12 Injections, Nutrition Support, Lifestyle Coaching, Metabolic Monitoring, and Primary Care. We look at the bigger picture — including your weight, nutrition, metabolic health, physical activity, sleep, medications, and overall health goals.
Is GLP-1 medication right for me?
GLP-1 medications are not appropriate for everyone. Before prescribing, your provider will review your full medical history, current medications, weight-related health concerns, treatment goals, and potential risks. Your provider will discuss the potential benefits, risks, side effects, contraindications, and alternatives so you can make an informed decision together.
Are B12 injections a weight-loss treatment?
No. B12 injections are not a stand-alone weight-loss treatment. They are offered when medically appropriate for people with a B12 deficiency or conditions that affect B12 absorption. Your provider will evaluate whether B12 supplementation is right for you based on your individual health needs.
Your Wellness Plan, Built Around You. Whether you're interested in medical weight management, GLP-1 medications, vitamin B12 injections, or simply getting your health back on track — Campbell Health Solutions is here to help. Let's build a plan that works for your life.
Post-exposure prevention for bacterial STIs after a potential exposure.
DoxyPEP is a post-exposure preventive treatment for syphilis, chlamydia, and gonorrhea. Think of it as a morning-after pill but for bacterial STIs instead of pregnancy: take one dose after a condomless sexual encounter to greatly reduce your risk of contracting bacterial STIs. DoxyPEP does NOT help prevent HIV, Mpox (monkeypox), or other viral infections.
Can I take DoxyPEP if I was assigned female at birth?
Current research has shown DoxyPEP is most effective for people assigned male at birth who meet the eligibility criteria. However, we know that others may still be interested in adding DoxyPEP to their prevention toolkit. We encourage anyone who believes they may benefit to discuss the risks and benefits with a Campbell Health provider to see if it may be an option for them.
What are the side effects?
The most common side effects include nausea, headaches, and sun sensitivity. Taking DoxyPEP with food and 8 oz of water can help reduce nausea. Wearing sunscreen and staying covered during extended time outdoors can help with sun sensitivity. Although it is safe to take daily, do not exceed 200 mg in one day.
Does DoxyPEP replace condoms or PrEP?
No. DoxyPEP is one tool in a broader prevention strategy. It does not protect against HIV, and it is not a replacement for condoms or PrEP. Our team can help you build a comprehensive prevention plan — including PrEP, regular STI testing, and DoxyPEP — that works for your life.
Prevention on Your Terms. Campbell Health Solutions offers confidential, non-judgmental sexual health care. If you think DoxyPEP may be right for you, reach out — our team is here to help you make an informed decision quickly. Call us at 1-561-208-6595 or request an appointment online.
Screening, treatment, and follow-up care for Hepatitis C.
Hepatitis C (HCV) is a viral infection that affects the liver. Many people with Hepatitis C have no symptoms for years — which is why screening is so important. Today, Hepatitis C is curable. With the right treatment, most people can clear the virus completely in 8 to 12 weeks. Campbell Health Solutions provides confidential Hepatitis C screening, evaluation, and treatment coordination as part of our comprehensive infectious disease and primary care services.
Is Hepatitis C really curable?
Yes. Modern direct-acting antiviral (DAA) medications cure Hepatitis C in more than 95% of patients. Treatment is typically taken orally for 8 to 12 weeks with minimal side effects. A follow-up test after treatment confirms whether the virus has been cleared.
How is Hepatitis C transmitted?
Hepatitis C is spread through contact with infected blood — most commonly through sharing needles, syringes, or other drug-injection equipment. It can also be transmitted through needlestick injuries, unsterilized tattoo or piercing equipment, and less commonly through sexual contact. It is not spread through casual contact like hugging, sharing food, or coughing.
Does insurance cover Hepatitis C treatment?
Most insurance plans, including Medicaid and Medicare, cover Hepatitis C screening and treatment. Patient assistance programs are also available for those who are uninsured or underinsured. Our team can help you navigate your coverage options.
Hepatitis C Is Treatable. You Don't Have to Wait. If you've never been tested for Hepatitis C — or if you know you're at risk — Campbell Health Solutions is here to help. Confidential screening, compassionate care, and a clear path to treatment.

Connecting you to the resources and support you need to stay in care.
The role of our case managers is to help people living with HIV link to and stay in medical care. The case manager assigned to you will work with you to identify your needs and goals, help you link to resources, and resolve barriers to accessing medical, social, legal, financial, and other necessary services in the community. The goal is for you to be able to access the resources you need to navigate the healthcare system and stay in medical care.
Who is case management for?
Case management at Campbell Health Solutions is designed for people living with HIV who need support linking to or staying in medical care. If you are facing barriers — whether related to housing, finances, transportation, insurance, or other challenges — a case manager can help you navigate them.
What happens when I graduate from case management?
Once you have met your case management goals, you will graduate from the program. Graduation means you have the tools, connections, and support in place to manage your care independently. If you ever need case management assistance again after graduating, we can help you re-engage services.
How do I get started with case management?
You can request case management services by contacting Campbell Health Solutions directly. Our team will connect you with an assigned case manager who will schedule an initial meeting to learn about your needs and begin building your plan.
You Don't Have to Figure It Out Alone. Our case managers are here to help you access the care and resources you need — and to stay by your side until you're ready to move forward on your own. Call us at 1-561-208-6595 or request an appointment online.
You do not need to have every answer before reaching out. Send a brief appointment request and our team will help guide you to the right care path.
